We read a rumor that the Yankees were trying to aquire a pitcher TONIGHT! we can’t find out who it is, but we did hear a rumor… we also wrote about Nick Johnson coming back to the Yankees on our Yankees blog

Scrubs, Family Guy, Pearl Jam and Dec 12 in history

got a bunch of stuff going on today:

updated our Scrubs blog now that Season 9 is in full swing – not what we were lead to believe, but still pretty good
updated our Family Guy blog; we found a clip that we think makes our case FOR old Family Guy episodes and AGAINST new ones
updated our Pearl Jam blog; can you understand what Eddie Vedder is saying? we found a good YouTube that deciphers the lyrics to “Yellow Ledbetter”

we reading about some stuff that happened on Dec 12 on Wikipedia throughout history. Here are the two we thought were the most notable:

1941 – At a meeting with the highest ranking officials of the Nazi party in the Reich Chancellery, Adolf Hitler declared the imminent destruction of the Jewish race.

2000 – The U.S. Supreme Court delivered its controversial 5–4 decision in Bush v. Gore, ordering the election recount of the ballots cast in Florida for the 2000 presidential election to stop, which effectively ended the election in favor of George W. Bush

Huh. Those both happened on the same day some 60 years apart, huh? Guess its a dark day in history, huh? There were probably some lighter or more positive events on Dec 12, but those two really stick out like a sore thumb, you know?

no Zach Braff for Scrubs Season 9

So, Scrubs is coming back in December, but with an all new format, lots of new intern cast members and no Zach Braff. Its easy to understand why someone doesn’t want to keep doing the same show for 8 years, so we’ll give Braff a past. However, we’re very curious to see what happens when Scrubs Interns or whatever its called comes back on the air. Check out more on our Scrubs page – yes, our site has a Scrubs page! If you have a site, your site should also have a scrubs page because scrubs is EXCELLENT!

Yankees Victory Parade Today!

Have fun at the parade – remember to bundle up, cause its COLD out there! and ‘enjoy yourself’ responsibly! The parade is today, November 6th, at 11 AM, starting at Battery Place at 11 a.m., and heading north up the Canyon of Heroes, and ending at City Hall Plaza, where there will be some speeches and the Yankees will get the key to the city.
